Reunion 2000: Holiday Inn Bayside, San Diego, California

Probably one of the most enjoyable and well attended reunions/convention of the National Sonar Association concluded on Sunday, October 1, 2000. This 18th gathering was warm and purposeful. More than once, the words "This is the best one yet." were heard describing this special reunion. The two coordinators, Bill and Earline Gray put together an exciting set of events giving those in attendance many choices. Wild Animal Park, a ship tour, lunch in the mess hall of sonar school, a graduation of the "A" school and a tour of the training center were among the highlights. Best of all, the attendees were not just a bunch of the old regulars, but included numerous new members as well as new prospective members. Here are some of many photos taken at the event.
